January 2023: Letter from the Editor

This Is How to Welcome 2023

Did another year just go by? I can’t believe you’ll be reading this in 2023. Seems like yesterday it was march. I know! Surely everyone is saying that now, but I can’t help it; I really think this year has been unreal.

2022 was packed with many ups and downs. But, as with every new beginning, it makes me utterly excited to know that now we are looking at a new set of 365 days to make our dreams come true. It literally translates into so many new opportunities to achieve our goals, cross more items off our bucket list, learn so many new things, meet plenty of new people, and check out more and more of this world’s wonderful locations.

But we know that in the face of too many options we may get too excited, anxiety can kick in, and we could easily miss important stops, views, moments, opportunities and breaths. Instances we would’ve seen and appreciated way more if we were going at a slower pace, and simply not blindly erratic about having so many options.

So, with this issue, we don’t want to overwhelm you with everything waiting for you ahead. We want to guide you and give you some tips, and share our ideas on how to slow down, take in and enjoy way more all these new possibilities instead.

Our cover story “Solo dining—Integrating the practice of enjoying a meal alone into your travels” perfectly summarizes what I’m trying to say. There’s nothing like taking the time to enjoy and really savor a meal, something we don’t take the time to do very often. But on top of that, I believe that food is one of the greatest ways to discover a new city, to understand and dive into a new culture –also, love trying food!. So, with this article, we want to remind you of the importance of doing it alone, to really live that experience with only yourself and your thoughts –and your taste buds.

Keep scrolling through these pages to discover The Coach’s articles, “How to Stay Grounded While Traveling” and “How to live more mindfully in 2023”. These wonderful stories by Alex and Amit, respectively, will clearly illustrate the importance of learning to connect and stay rooted while living all these new experiences.

Are you getting a better feel now? Each of our sections and articles ties to each other to make for a more complete travel experience. Because we know that every time we take the time to move, experience and live new scenarios, we’re not just doing it with our eyes; it’s not just arriving and paying for a flight. We strongly believe that more than half of the moment is how we feel, and how our mindset determines what we are living.

“How moving abroad prioritized my happiness and why it should be on your bucket list for 2023” will explain this in such a beautiful way, as you’ll get to follow Tess’s story of traveling these past years.

Once you’re ready, once you feel relaxed and prepared to experience and walk into 2023, check out “How To Grow A Travel Brand from The Ground Up” and “My journey to dual citizenship”. Two beautiful personal stories about women who, just like us, felt empowered and courageous and changed their life paths completely.

I won’t keep talking about all our articles, but I will encourage you to discover them yourself. I want you to get comfortable and start scrolling through these pages as you start living your 2023.

Welcome to a new year; welcome to your new 365 new chances to do everything you want to.

Have an outstanding new year!
