“At Adventures in Good Company, we believe that women deserve extraordinary travel experiences that combine adventure, comfort, and empowerment”, explains Kelly Kimple, CEO of AGC.

They’ll handle the logistics so you can fully experience some of the most breathtaking places on earth alongside other curious women and with the support of experienced guides. It’s not about how fast you hike or how many passport stamps you have, it’s about taking on a new challenge with the support and friendship of like-minded women.

And what a community to be surrounded by! AGC offers small group escapes that encourage women of all backgrounds and abilities to (re)connect with their adventurous selves, physical abilities, other women, different cultures, and the natural world. I don’t know about you, but that sounds like the perfect trip for us.

After all, what’s a better way to deal with stress, routine and loneliness than boosting your serotonin levels with some vitamin D, friendships, laughter and a nature-loving adventure? That’s what Adventures in Good Company is all about, and they know what they’re doing.

And, this year, they’re also proud to announce their groundbreaking ‘slackpacking’ tours. These innovative hiking adventures offer a perfect balance between adventure, comfort, and empowerment, allowing participants to explore the world in a whole new way. Through it, participants carry only what they need for the day, unburdened by the added weight of a shelter, multiple days’ worth of food, and other overnight essentials.

‘Slackpacking’ combines the joys of hiking a continuous section of the Appalachian Trail in the US, with the convenience of comfortable accommodations, a warm bed, hot shower and hearty meal each evening.

“Our ‘slackpacking’ tours open up a world of possibilities, enabling women to explore the great outdoors with confidence, build lasting friendships, and create lifelong memories.” Kelly Kimple, CEO of AGC.

To learn more about Adventures in Good Company and their ‘slackpacking’ tours, we invite you to attend a ‘slackpacking’ webinar on the 20th of September, 2023, at 12:30 pm Mountain Time. To register, visit  https://adventuresingoodcompany.hs-sites.com/the-art-of-slackpacking

4. Safety First, Fabulousness Always:

AGC believe that being fierce and fearless doesn’t mean compromising on safety, and this is key for every women’s only trip, as you might know. Their top-notch guides have your back, providing a secure environment where you can unleash your inner explorer with confidence. They’ll empower you to step out of your comfort zone and conquer the world safely!

5. Sustainable Sass:

Women know that travelling with a purpose is the ultimate power move. Like all of you Life Lovers, they’re all about sustainable and ethical travel practices. Expect to immerse yourself in local communities, support conservation efforts, and create a positive impact wherever we roam.

“We believe that feeling truly connected to the natural world is both a human need and deeply rejuvenating. We find that experiencing other cultures in ways that are respectful and not exploitative enriches our understanding of our common humanity”, says Kelly Kimple, CEO.

About Adventures in Good Company

Adventures in Good Company was founded in the USA in 1999 by Marian Marbury with a vision to empower women in the outdoors by offering fun, supportive and challenging trips where women of all shapes, sizes and expertise are celebrated.

Prior to starting AGC, Marian travelled and guided for Woodswomen, a non-profit that pioneered women’s outdoor recreation and leadership in the 90s, with trips ranging from cross-country skiing in Minnesota to climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

When Woodswomen closed its doors in 1999, Marian wanted to continue offering trips for women based on the same philosophy, sustainable group travel that includes valuing emotional as well as physical safety, personal choice and individual goals, and healthy relationships with each other and the environment.

Over the next 20 years, the company steadily grew, attracting both participants and guides who share our vision of what adventure travel should be. In 2020 Kelly Kimple assumed ownership, bringing fresh energy, and a commitment to the values and philosophy on which AGC was founded, and where it stands today, waiting to welcome you in one of their adventures.
